Face painting is $125 per hour with a two hour minimum in October (our busiest month of the year!). Glitter Tattoo parties are $100 per hour. I am based in Erlanger, Ky and travel up to 45 minutes in any direction for no fee, which covers most of the Greater Cincinnati area. If the location of your event is more than 45 minutes away there is a travel fee of $25 for an estimated 45-75 minute drive or $50 for 75-95 minute drive. Any travel frees will be determined during booking.
Faces per hour
Most face painting designs take 3-5 minutes to paint. Please provide an estimated number of guests when you make your booking and I will plan the right designs for the time constraints of your event. Let me know if you have preferences regarding the theme of the designs and I can customize them for you.

Glitter Tattoos are placed on the arm and average 3 minutes each. Bonus, they are water resistant and can last 3-7 days!
What is provided
I will bring professional face painting supplies to your event which are approved for hygienic use on the face and body. This includes face paints, glitters, and painting tools. For parties with fewer than ten participants I will also bring face jewels which stick to the face and amplify the designs.
I bring my own standing kit and chair to every event, so there is no need for you to supply a table or chairs, but if you would prefer that I use your table and chairs I can do so. I also have a 10x10 canopy which I am able to bring to events when requested. Please let me know if you will be needing it when you make your booking.
How to book
When you're ready to book your event you can contact me through email at glimmerspartymagic@gmail.com, by telephone, through the contact page on this site, or through my business page on Facebook. Tell me some basic information about the date, time, and location of your event and I'll let you know the total cost to book along with any travel fees. If your date is available to book I will send you my contract file, which you can print and fill out before sending it back to me with your party information and signature. Along with the contract there will be a 50% deposit fee for private events to secure your date. The other 50% will be due upon my arrival to your event before painting begins. Please message me with any questions!
What's your experience with kids?
I've worked with kids in some capacity or another since I was a kid. I've taught swim lessons, did substitute teaching, worked in children's ministry, and I have kids of my own. I understand the unique needs of kids and the special way that their brains work. My aim is to treat every child in my chair with respect and to see that they feel comfortable and safe being painted. If a child gets into my chair and changes their mind, that's completely fine. If we start the painting and they decide they don't want paint on their face I'm happy to provide wipes so they can clean it off. It's important to me to make accommodations for the needs of my clients and to ensure that they never feel pressure or a loss of autonomy. I'm happy to listen to the stories and requests the kids have as time allows and to encourage them to use their freedom and imagination in designing their face art during events with that sort of time, and when working events that are fast paced with long lines I can respectfully keep the kids moving while tending to their face painting needs with patience.
Are the paints safe for skin?
All of the paints that I use are professional quality and designed to be gentle on the skin of kids and adults. If you or your child has skin sensitivities or allergies, there are a number of accommodations I can make. If it's the eyes that are sensitive, I can do designs that don't touch the eyes, or I can paint on their hand or arm instead. We can also do a small patch test with the paint on their hand and then wait several minutes to see if there has been a reaction. If there is a specific ingredient that you know you or your child has a sensitivity to, I can carefully select paints that do not contain that ingredient. If the sensitivity is severe, I would recommend forgoing the painting altogether to eliminate any risk. If you are planning an event where you know ahead of time that a guest has a specific allergy, please let me know so I can plan how to best accommodate them.
How do we remove the paint? Will it stain fabrics?
Most face paints are very easy to remove and will come off with whatever water and soap you would normally use to wash your face. Baby wipes also work very well in a pinch. Occasionally some colors like to stick around on the skin, but they do fade away. Letting the skin moisturize with a bit of facial lotion will often help work those out.
I've had great luck washing paints out of fabrics with dawn dish soap. If you notice paint has gotten on a special piece of clothing or upholstery, the best thing you can do is to wash it quickly. The paints that I use are water activated, so once you wet something that has paint on it the paint generally is happy to lift away. Somehow I have never ruined anything in my home with face paint stains, and I have been using them since 2017.
What is your service area?
I am based in Northern Kentucky but I paint at events in Indiana and Ohio as well. I've travelled as far north as Dayton, OH, but I am most often in the Cincinnati area.
